Is anyone besides myself tired of false advertising from companies???
I am so tired of encountering this problem. You would think that companies would just be honest. I live just inside the permissible perimeter to have AT&T's DSL service. And I am so tired of paying for their highest speed DSL and having very little signal - of course, that will be another post!
Anyway, I kept seeing Dish Network's commercial concerning their broadband service. I had seen the commercial several times, but decided to pay close attention. We have Dish Network for the television and have been quite happy with it. So, I paid strict attention to one of the commercials concerning the Internet service. Five times during the commercial, they say "Where ever you live." That is their big pitch - that they reach rural areas where there is no other option for Internet.
So, I thought - great. This would be a viable option. Just add Internet to our television service. So, I called Dish. I told them that I was interested in seeing how much Internet service would add to my current bill and they took my address, put me on hold for a moment, and then came back and politely stated, "We don't provide service in that area."
Excuse me, what happened to where ever you live? I sent them an email addressing this and was told, in a return email some time later, that they are currently working to expand services. But, as of this time, service is not available in my area.
Guess it is my fault - should have realized that my address is not "Where ever."
Your thoughts?
