I will not make this a long, drawn out post. I am sure everyone heard on the news how quickly Congress "fixed" the sequester problem with regard to air traffic controllers, quickly getting them put back to work. I am also sure most of you have heard what kind of flight cancellations and delays had resulted from the cut back and the furlough of many air traffic controllers.
It took Congress an amazingly short period of time to remedy this problem!! Wouldn't it be wonderful if they would work as quickly on this Country's other problems?
You may think that they simply realized the problems it had created and decided to work at a record pace to remedy the situation because they empathized with the American public having so many problems with travel. Wouldn't that be a great story - Congress sympathetic to the public's problems?
I like rainbows and butterflies as much as the next guy - but I submit that there was one simple reason that Congress worked so extraordinarily quickly to remedy this problem.
Congress is about to adjourn and how will the members of Congress be getting home - - - flying, of course. Now, do you have an idea why they worked so quickly on this?
Let me know what you think!
