Extravagant Bus?? You just knew this was coming!

Yep - I read about the new bus that Obama is riding around in.  Over $1 million dollars - and the Secret Service supposedly commissioned not one - but two - of these buses. 

It seems to me like it was just last week when we were hearing threats about how Social Security payments, etc. would not be made the first of the month unless the Congress agreed to let Obama raise the country's debt limit.  Well - now we know what that was for I guess.

Let me see if I have this straight - this country is so far in debt that it is in danger of not being able to make Social Security payments to those who worked the better part of their lives to earn this meager - and yes it is meager - income.  The government deems it more important instead to pay in excess of $1 million for a bus for the president to ride around in.  Where is the sense in this? 

It is precisely this kind of government spending that has the economy in the tank now.  Why do you think our government is so far in debt already??  I thought I heard somewhere that part of the compromise that was finally reached on the bill to allow the debt ceiling to be raised, was stipulations for cuts in government spending. 

Can somebody PLEASE explain how this makes sense??
