A Day at McWane Center

Last week I had the opportunity to go on a field trip to the McWane Center.  This was my first trip there, and I was amazed at the "stuff" there is for kids to do there.  There are some awesome displays of trains - no telling how long it took to set some of those up.  The detail is to intricate.  Of course, the kids love the bubble area. 

We spent quite bit of time in the aquatic area as the exhibits there are very interesting - not to mention downright pretty.  The kids can "pet" small sharks as well as stingrays.  This seemed to be quite popular. 

Of course, right now the kids enjoy the Winter Wonderland area where they can actually play in the "snow".  There is also a zip line which seemed to be quite popular.  You could easily spend an entire day here just visiting all the exhibits. 

I was quite amazed at the IMAX theatre as it was also my first trip to a theatre of that type.  The movie we saw was in 3D, which was also a treat.

The kids loved it - and I found it very interesting myself.
